Sankofa

Kobiri needs the people it sent away.

After a raid leaves Kobiri damaged and its king removed, Kuukua is sent to find the people his laws drove into exile. The village needs their skills to rebuild. That does not mean they owe it their return.

The journey

Sankofa is a Ghanaian narrative RPG about what a community does after it has harmed its own people. Travel between settlements, learn practical skills and help repair what has been lost.

Some people are willing to return. Others set conditions, offer help from elsewhere or choose a different home. Kuukua’s journey is about understanding those decisions as well as completing her own task.
