Q’d Terms of Service
Effective date: 13 August 2026
Most recent material update: 13 August 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service form a contract between you and The Gaming Nexus Studios Ltd, trading as Q’d.
Company number: 14379621
Registered address: 98 Crabtree Lane, Harpenden, AL5 5RF
Contact: ts5bme@tgnstudios.uk
These terms apply to the Q’d website, application, Date Nights, profiles, recommendations, matches, messaging, friend debriefs, subscriptions and related services.
The following documents also form part of your agreement with us:
- the Q’d Privacy Notice;
- the Q’d Community Guidelines;
- the Q’d Cancellation and Refund Policy;
- the Q’d Cookies and Device Storage Notice;
- the Q’d Support and Complaints Policy; and
- any additional terms clearly shown before you purchase a service or join a specific event.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use Q’d.
2. Eligibility
You may use Q’d only if:
- you are legally able to enter a binding contract;
- you meet the age range offered for your location and service group;
- you are at least 18 years old in every case;
- at the initial London launch, you are aged 21 through 30 inclusive, subject to the final published launch rule;
- you are using Q’d for yourself;
- you are genuinely seeking a meaningful relationship;
- you are not prohibited by law from using the service;
- you have not been permanently removed from Q’d, unless we have expressly authorised your return;
- you comply with our verification requirements; and
- the information you provide is accurate and current.
You must not create an account for another person or allow another person to use your account.
Q’d may limit registration or Date Night access by location, compatibility group, capacity, age group, verification status, safety status or service availability.
3. Your account
You are responsible for:
- keeping your login details and devices secure;
- giving accurate account and profile information;
- keeping your contact details current;
- telling us promptly about suspected unauthorised access;
- using only one personal Q’d account; and
- all activity carried out through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised use.
Never share a login code, verification code or account recovery link.
We may require additional checks if we detect suspicious activity, account sharing, impersonation or attempted ban evasion.
4. Verification
Real Date Night participants must complete the verification required by Q’d.
Q’d may use:
- a liveness check;
- a comparison between the live reference face and approved profile media; and
- a private facial age estimate.
A Face verified badge means that Q’d completed a live face check and matched that face to approved profile media.
The badge does not mean that:
- Q’d confirmed the person's legal name;
- Q’d checked a passport or driving licence;
- the person has no criminal history;
- the person is safe in every circumstance; or
- Q’d endorses the person.
You must not attempt to deceive, bypass or interfere with verification.
Verification may expire or require repetition. Replacing important face bearing profile media may remove the badge until reverification succeeds.
If verification fails or is inconclusive, the available retry, support or review process will apply.
5. Profiles
Your profile must:
- represent you honestly;
- contain current media that clearly shows you;
- use only content that you have the right to use;
- comply with the Community Guidelines;
- avoid private information that creates unnecessary risk; and
- remain accurate while your account is active.
Q’d may review profile content before publication and may remove, reject or require replacement of content that breaches our rules or presents a safety risk.
An account belongs to one dater. Couple profiles, shared accounts, fictional identities and impersonation are not permitted.
6. How discovery works
Q’d offers a limited daily selection rather than an endless feed.
You may be able to choose:
- interested in meeting;
- not interested; or
- decide later.
A pre date interest choice is not a match and does not guarantee a Date Night pairing.
A person you decline will not be paired with you. Blocks and safety restrictions also prevent pairing.
Existing users generally need to have attended a Date Night during the previous weekly cycle for their profile to circulate in the next weekly discovery cycle. Missing every Date Night in one week may pause profile circulation during the following week without deleting or suspending the account.
Read How Q’d Recommendations Work for more detail.
7. Booking and queues
The initial service offers a Friday Date Night with a fixed capacity.
The capacity shown to you may depend on the number of compatible and eligible participants, not only the total number of people.
A booking may be:
- confirmed;
- placed in the Priority Queue;
- placed in the Standard Queue;
- cancelled;
- released because check in was not completed; or
- restricted for safety or eligibility reasons.
Priority access may offer earlier booking or earlier consideration when a session is heavily subscribed. It does not guarantee a place.
Payment and nomination priority never override compatibility, verification or safety restrictions and never remove a place that has already been confirmed for another user.
Three late cancellations place an account in the Low Priority Queue under the current published attendance rule. Three no shows result in an account ban, subject to the appeal process. The Cancellation and Refund Policy explains when a cancellation is late, what counts as a no show and how an exception may be requested.
The Q’d Cancellation and Refund Policy explains booking cancellation, subscription cancellation, no shows and refunds.
8. Date Night
A standard Date Night:
- begins with an opening welcome;
- contains private video conversations;
- uses five minute boundaries;
- allows each participant to choose Extend or Switch privately;
- keeps two people together only when both choose Extend;
- recalculates eligible pairings at each boundary;
- prevents repeat encounters in the same Date Night;
- includes no more than 30 minutes of private video dates, plus the stated waiting periods; and
- may end earlier when no unused eligible partners remain.
The number of dates and session duration are not guaranteed.
An estimate is only an estimate. Extensions, withdrawals, connection failures, reports, compatibility and attendance may change the actual experience.
You may leave any conversation immediately. You do not need the other person's permission or an explanation.
You must not:
- record a Date Night;
- capture or distribute another participant's image, voice or private information without permission;
- expose sexual content;
- threaten, intimidate or harass;
- allow another person to observe or participate;
- use a prerecorded or synthetic replacement for your live presence;
- force or pressure another person to continue; or
- interfere with the timer, pairing, moderation or reporting controls.
Connection quality may vary. Q’d will use reasonable care in providing the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted video or network availability.
9. Extend, Switch, Leave and Report
Extend and Switch choices are private.
If both participants select Extend before the boundary, the conversation continues for another five minutes.
If either participant selects Switch, or if a valid decision is not received in time, the conversation ends at the boundary and the participants may return to the eligible pool.
Leave ends the conversation immediately. Q’d does not tell the other participant who used Leave.
Report ends the conversation immediately and begins the safety process. The reporter and reported person must never be placed together in the same moderation room.
Misusing reporting tools to harass, retaliate against or knowingly make false claims about another person is prohibited. A report made honestly does not breach this rule merely because Q’d does not later find enough evidence to take action.
10. Matches and messaging
Messaging becomes available only when:
- two people actually met through Q’d;
- each privately selected interest in matching; and
- neither account is blocked or restricted.
Mutual matches may exchange text messages through Q’d.
Never assume that another person consents to sexual content, intimate media, contact outside Q’d or an offline meeting.
You may unmatch, block or report. You must respect that decision and must not contact the person through another account, social media, telephone, email or an offline route.
11. Join With Friends
You may create or join a private Date Night friend group where this feature is available.
Every group member must:
- have a verified account;
- be an active participant in the same Date Night; and
- comply with these terms and the Community Guidelines.
Spectators cannot join.
After the live dates, group members may enter a private debrief room.
Each dater privately sees the people they met. A dater may deliberately share one encountered profile at a time with the group.
By using Q’d, you acknowledge that:
- a person you meet may choose to show your ordinary Q’d profile to their participating friend group during the private debrief;
- profiles are not shared automatically;
- the group does not receive your private messages or a transcript of the date;
- friend votes are advisory;
- only the dater controls the actual match decision; and
- the friend group has no right to contact you unless an individual member separately forms a mutual match with you.
No participant may record, copy, publish, ridicule, harass or misuse a profile shown in a debrief.
12. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit to Q’d.
You give Q’d a worldwide, limited, revocable where legally required, non exclusive and royalty free permission to host, store, copy, format, transmit, display, moderate and otherwise process your content only as reasonably necessary to:
- operate Q’d;
- show your profile to eligible users;
- deliver text messages to intended recipients;
- run the deliberate friend sharing feature;
- protect users and enforce our rules;
- respond to reports and legal obligations; and
- maintain, secure and improve the service.
This permission ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except where continued retention is permitted or required for safety, legal, backup or dispute purposes.
You confirm that:
- you created the content or have all required rights;
- your content does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual property or other rights;
- your content is lawful; and
- Q’d may process it as described in these terms and the Privacy Notice.
You must not download, scrape, collect, copy or reuse content belonging to another user outside the ordinary Q’d experience.
13. Community rules and moderation
You must follow the Q’d Community Guidelines both on Q’d and in conduct connected to people you meet through Q’d.
We may investigate:
- profile content;
- Date Night behaviour;
- text messages;
- debrief room behaviour;
- reports;
- suspected fraud or misuse;
- conduct outside Q’d that creates a relevant safety risk; and
- attempts to evade enforcement.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- remove content;
- limit a feature;
- issue guidance or a warning;
- end a Date Night;
- remove a participant from an event;
- pause profile circulation;
- suspend an account;
- permanently ban an account;
- preserve evidence;
- make a legally required report; or
- take another proportionate action.
We consider seriousness, context, evidence, previous conduct, risk and legal duties. We may act immediately where delay could expose someone to harm.
An appeal route is available for eligible decisions under the Support and Complaints Policy.
14. Safety
Q’d provides controls intended to reduce risk, but dating involves interaction with other people and cannot be made risk free.
You are responsible for your personal decisions, including whether to:
- share personal information;
- communicate outside Q’d;
- send media;
- meet someone offline; or
- continue any relationship.
Verification, moderation and a profile badge are not guarantees of character, intentions, conduct or safety.
Read Dating Safely on Q’d and use Leave, Block and Report whenever needed.
If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
15. Subscriptions and purchases
Q’d may offer paid subscriptions or other purchases.
Before purchase, we will show:
- the price;
- billing frequency;
- included benefits;
- whether renewal is automatic;
- how to cancel;
- any trial or introductory terms; and
- any additional terms required by law.
At launch, the paid benefit is the Priority subscription. It costs £19.99 per month, including applicable VAT, and renews automatically each month until cancelled.
Priority provides priority access or consideration for heavily subscribed Date Nights. It does not guarantee a place, a particular number of dates, a match or any profile ranking benefit. It never overrides compatibility, verification, safety restrictions or an already confirmed booking.
If you purchase through Apple, Google or another marketplace, that provider processes the payment and its billing procedures also apply.
Deleting Q’d or deleting your account does not necessarily cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the provider that took the payment.
Statutory consumer rights are not limited by these terms.
16. Cancellation and refunds
You may stop subscription renewal at any time using the available billing controls.
Access to paid benefits ordinarily continues until the end of the period already paid for, unless law, a refund or an enforcement decision requires otherwise.
Refund eligibility depends on:
- applicable consumer law;
- where and how the purchase was made;
- whether the service was supplied;
- whether Q’d cancelled the relevant service;
- the payment provider's rules; and
- the Q’d Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Purchases made through Apple or Google may need to be refunded by that provider.
Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Service changes
We may change, test, suspend or discontinue features to improve Q’d, protect users, comply with law or respond to technical and commercial needs.
We will not silently replace a paid benefit with something materially different during a period already paid for without providing an appropriate remedy where required.
We may change event times, capacity or availability. If Q’d cancels a confirmed Date Night, the published cancellation policy will explain the remedy.
18. Account suspension and termination
You may stop using Q’d or delete your account at any time.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where:
- you breach these terms or the Community Guidelines;
- we reasonably believe you create a safety or legal risk;
- you attempt fraud, impersonation or verification evasion;
- you misuse another person's content or information;
- you repeatedly fail to attend confirmed Date Nights under the published attendance rules;
- payment remains invalid where a paid feature requires it;
- law or a public authority requires action;
- the service is no longer offered to your location or group; or
- the account has been inactive for the period stated in the applicable notice.
Where appropriate, we will explain the decision and provide an appeal route. We may limit details where disclosure would expose another person, compromise safety controls, reveal confidential detection methods or breach law.
Termination does not remove terms that are intended to continue, including provisions about content already lawfully retained, intellectual property, liability, disputes and legal compliance.
19. Q’d intellectual property
Q’d and its licensors own the service, software, design, brand, logo, text, graphics and other material that is not user content.
We give you a personal, limited, non transferable, non exclusive and revocable right to use Q’d for its intended personal purpose while you comply with these terms.
You must not:
- copy or resell Q’d;
- reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits;
- use bots, scraping or automated access;
- bypass access, payment or security controls;
- use Q’d data to train another system;
- create a competing database of profiles;
- test security without written authorisation; or
- misuse the Q’d name or branding.
20. Other services
Q’d depends on services supplied by other organisations, which may include application marketplaces, video, verification, authentication, payment, hosting, email, storage and notification providers.
Their own terms may apply to your direct relationship with them.
We are not responsible for a separate service that we do not control, but we remain responsible for our own legal duties and for selecting and managing providers as required by law.
21. Disclaimers
Q’d will provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
We do not promise:
- that Q’d will always be available or free from errors;
- that every profile is accurate;
- a particular number of recommendations or dates;
- a full 30 minute Date Night;
- a match, relationship or successful outcome;
- that another user will behave appropriately;
- that a verification badge proves legal identity or safety; or
- that every harmful act can be prevented.
Nothing in this section affects rights that United Kingdom consumer law gives you.
22. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of a right that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to that rule, Q’d is not responsible for loss that:
- was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract began;
- results from your breach of these terms;
- results from an external network, device or service outside our reasonable control;
- is a business loss arising from personal consumer use; or
- could reasonably have been avoided by following a clear safety or security instruction.
Any further financial limit must be inserted only after professional review and must be fair under United Kingdom consumer law.
23. Events outside reasonable control
Q’d is not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, such as widespread network failure, provider outage, natural disaster, public emergency, lawful government action or serious cyber incident.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and communicate material effects.
24. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, safety, technical or service reasons.
We will show the current effective date. We will give reasonable advance notice of a material change where appropriate.
If a change requires renewed agreement, Q’d may ask you to accept it before continuing.
25. General legal terms
If a court finds part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue.
Our failure to enforce a term immediately does not waive it.
You may not transfer your account or rights under these terms to another person.
We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a lawful business reorganisation or sale, provided that this does not reduce your legal rights.
These terms do not create an employment, partnership, agency or fiduciary relationship.
26. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights to bring a consumer claim in the courts that apply to your home jurisdiction.
Please contact ts5bme@tgnstudios.uk first so we can try to resolve a dispute.
You may also use any applicable consumer complaint or alternative dispute process identified in the Support and Complaints Policy.
